I'm back! And sharing some Christmas favorites from target!

I don’t even know what’s propelled me to write a new blogpost, which is long overdue! I’m still here. And I’m still decorating.

It’s already November. And no disrespect to Thanksgiving, but we are nearly in full Christmas mode over here. Part of it has to do with all of the messages about low inventory and being urged to ‘shop now’ for Christmas to avoid items being out of stock. Plus, we love white lights and greenery. And when you live in the Pacific Northwest, it gets dark early. So a little extra twinkle lights and greens doesn’t hurt. In fact, I think it can even help a mood.

So in the spirit of Christmas not being far away - and shopping/decorating almost upon us, I thought I’d share a few of things that caught my eye on a recent trip to Target.

  1. Metal Lanterns: Lanterns are a great decor item year round, in my opinion I love the versatility of a lantern. It can go on a hearth, on the mantel, front porch or a shelf. Fill it with a battery operated candle and surround it with small pinecones and red berries or some fresh (or faux!) greens. The possibilities are endless. And these particular lanterns come in black and red. Both are great options for your holiday decor.

  2. Christmas Tree Pillow: I’m a sucker for a good pillow. This lumbar pillow is a great addition to your couch or chair! And the cozy texture will make you want to curl right up on the couch with a good book.

  3. Pom Pom Garland: Garland is an easy add on during the holidays. This red and white garland will stand out nicely strung along greenery, or on its own. String it along the mantel, down your stairway or around a window frame. It’ll add great texture and color to your home.

  4. Spruce Wreath with Bell: I’m so impressed with a good faux wreath. And this one both looks amazing and has a great price point! The little bell hanging from ribbon is a sweet addition (and if the bell isn’t your gig, just remove it!). You can always add more ribbon to the wreath as well. This item is definitely one to add to your shopping list!

  5. Wood Trees: With so much holiday decor being green and red, it’s nice to add a natural element with these wood trees. They come in 2 sizes so you can buy them as an individual or as a set.

  6. Merry Christmas Door Mat: The doormat can stand alone, or be layered on top of a fun patterned rug. A black and white rug underneath would look great with this red Christmas doormat. I have mine all ready to go on the porch in a few weeks.

  7. Gold Tray by Studio McGee: There are so many things I love about this tray. The oval shape is a touch unique. The gold has a nice patina that will be great during the holidays as well as year round. And it’s lightweight so it will be easy to store if I decide to put it away for a season. Add a few candles in the middle of the tray and pinecones or greenery and you’ll have the perfect centerpiece. Or put it on a coffee table with a candle and small book. Or use it to corral your remote controls.
