One Room Challenge Week 4 - Pillows
Things are progressing in Emmie's room.
I picked up the pillows for her bed yesterday. And wow...what an addition!
Last week, I mentioned the duvet that I {almost} finished making for her bed out of two flat sheets. By itself, the duvet was rather blah looking. But when you add the pillows it really amps up the wow factor!
The gray wall paint and polka dots from urban walls really help tie everything together.
The tufted chair was one I found at Marshalls. It's so feminine. And I love the legs and castors too.
Back to the pillows.... The fabrics coordinate nicely with each other. And by using the same pink flat welting on both pillows, it ties them together even more.
This is one of those projects that keeps me peeking in Emmie's room to gaze at the progress. I love how it's coming along!!
Are you wondering when you'll see a headboard filling up the blank space on the wall below the mirror?! Well, I did finish painting the bed this week....
And today I tried attaching the side rails. But the bed wasn't cooperating so this is how I left things....
That's SUPPOSED to be an 'L' bracket. However it now kind of resembles a twisted 'S'. The bed fell over and things got twisted and banged up. So I promptly called it quits and cleaned up my mess until Dan is around to help me maneuver the beast of a bed.
I sure hope that my post next week features a completed bed!
Do you need one last peek at those cute pillows before you leave?! I do!
I love them so.
Two more weeks to wrap things up! I've got to keep my focus.
